SECURITY SYSTEMS

1. INTRUDER DETECTION
To detect unauthorised entry onto the scaffolding, the Permanex electronic alarm lays an invisible wall of radio energy between transmitter/receiver devices. These detector devices transmit an alarm should a human intruder attempt to walk, climb or crawl through the electronic energy field. The detectors are not affected by weather elements, temperature extremes or vibrations i.e. traffic and have a built-in protection device, eliminating outside interference.
2. OPERATING THE SYSTEM
The system is armed/disarmed from a control panel located within the building/site office and is easily operated by a keypad. The control panel indicates any break-in points on the scaffold and automatically activates an audible alarm. It also features an audible and visual tamper/fault indicator that is operational at all times even if the system is disarmed. The Permanex system is supplied complete with back-up batteries in event of a power failure.
3. SIRENS/ALARM/STROBE LIGHT
Combined electronic siren/strobe lights will be fitted to the scaffold structure by our skilled technicians. All sirens are mounted in a shatterproof casing with 24-hr circuit protection. The alarms only activate in the area of intrusion, making fast intruder location possible. The Permanex system automatically cuts out and re-arms itself following an alarm.
4. WARNING SIGNS
Prominently located on the scaffold will be Permanex Security notices.
5. LOCATION
Detectors will be positioned at first floor level of windows breached by the scaffold i.e. first floor of building or first scaffold lift.
6. EVENT LOGGING
All intrusion and tamper events are logged against time in an electronic memory, which cannot be cleared. A printout of these events is also provided.

SCAFFOLD SECURITY SYSTEM - EQUIPMENT AND SPECIFICATION

1. GUARDALL - FENCEGUARD MICROWAVE BEAM

Outdoor Microwave intruder detectors
Range - 10 metres to 200 metres
Elliptical (cigar shaped) beam - designed to provide greater sensitivity in the horizontal plane
Sensitivity - Five alternative sensitivity settings, selectable on site
Signal Processing - minimises false alarms from environmental changes (fog, heavy rain, snow, sleet etc.) and from birds or small animals entering the detection zone
Four Modulation Channels - ensuring that links do not interfere with each other also making highly resistant to electronic countermeasures

2. OPTEX LX 40 AND LX 80 - PASSIVE INFRA RED DETECTORS

Detection method - passive infra red beam
Detection area - 12m x 15m x 120 Wide, 24m x 2m Long
LED indicator
Alarm output and Tamper switch
Photocell adjustment

3. PULNIX PB 50 HF'S 50M -200M - "INTELLIGENT QUAD PHOTOELECTRIC BEAM"

Four synchronised beams - 4 beams are "and-gated" helping prevent false alarms from flying debris or animals.
High powered infra red - The active infrared is exceptionally strong with a maximum arrival distance ten times greater than the specified protection distance.
Four frequency selections - 4 separate choices of frequency avoids cross talk in stacked or long linear installations, allowing stacking of Transmitters or Receivers all on one side.
Beam transmission strength selection - 2 levels of beam transmission strength can be used to set the transmission distance.
Auto- gain lock - Optimal sensitivity gain is set at any coverage distance up to the maximum protection distance.
Environmental module - Environmental trouble signal is sent when beam reception is reduced below an acceptable level.
Programmed AGC function - Sensitivity is automatically increased in bad weather to contend with fog, rain or frost.
Alarm memory indicator - Alarm memory LED located on Receiver can be manually reset or remotely controlled via panel.
Audible signal alignment - An alignment tone aids quick set-up of beams for electrical measurement of alignment
Other features - Monitor output, response time changeover, tamper output

4. MENVIER TS900

All events recorded showing time, date and cause of alarm signal
10-56 Programmable zones
4 keypad types
700-1,800 event log
